production method | put a Shi Ying disc containing 5.57g gallium metal (0.06mol) into a Shi Ying combustion tube, and connect a hydrogen sulfide intake pipe equipped with a paraffin flowmeter. The intake pipe must have a length that allows hydrogen sulfide to pass directly onto gallium. The combustion tube is placed in the furnace, and the furnace temperature is slowly raised to 950 ℃ under the condition of introducing hydrogen sulfide, and the reaction continues for 2 hours. Then hydrogen sulfide is introduced to cool the furnace temperature to room temperature. At this time, the product is yellow due to the entrainment of gallium sulfide. The mixture can be ground into fine powder with an agate mortar and sent back to the combustion tube. According to the above operation, it will continue to react with hydrogen sulfide for 3 hours. The product is cooled while continuing to pass in hydrogen sulfide, and then taken out after reaching room temperature. Pure gallium trisulfide is white. If it is still yellow, the above operation should be repeated. The above operations must be carried out in the fume hood. The amount is almost quantitative. |
